For some reason, whenever I build ships with the launchpads I cannot seem to do anything with either the craft or the launchpad.

i would select and build a simple probe, but I cannot switch to it, nor can I control the initial craft. The [] keys do nothing here.

Whenever I try to switch to the newly spawned vessel in the tracking station, the Kraken takes offense to my actions and flings the probe in a random direction, rendering it unusable. It also randomizes its parts, for some strange reason.

Fortunately, the orbital construction dock does not share this bug, but since my minmus base already uses a launchpad, that really isn't an option.

Actually, it's not the pad, but the fact that you are landed. EL makes no distinction between pads and the orbital dock, they're just cosmetic.

That said, I have reproduced the problem thanks to your simple test setup, and I am pretty sure as to the nature of the problem. I should have this fixed in the next day or so.

And it turns out, this bug actually is caused by the launchpad. The problem is caused by an attempt to access a transform that has been destroyed. The orbital dock is the only part I know of that uses SpawnTransform and thus has a permanent transform.

Rather embarrassing as it's a one-line fix.
