A bug in late 2020 resulted in many people not seeing maps in certain applications which has supposedly been fixed. All apps with missing maps need to be retested to double-check their compatibility. This is something I can investigate myself in the coming week, any help is appreciated in the meantime.

"I can now confirm that Waze is running. I installed and ran an old version 4.35.1.0 (March 2018). Then after it started and ran, I updated with the latest version. Works fine now" ( see https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/waze/waze-gps-maps-traffic-alerts-live-navigation/waze-gps-maps-traffic-alerts-live-navigation-4-35-1-0-release/ )

Updated Waze here:

I went through other map-based apps and am unable to verify there are workarounds to others. They still seem to not work properly. If this isn't the case, please create a new issue detailing how you were able to get the maps to work with with the application and I can reinvestigate and add in your workaround to Plexus.
