Virtual MultiSelct duplicates selected items

Reproduction of the problem

• Run the following Dojo: https://dojo.telerik.com/eyuTEZaZ
• Configure the network Throttling of the browser to be Fast 3G
• Click in the MultiSelect input
• Type "T" and select an item;
• Type "R" and select an item;
• Type "V" and select an item;
• Type "P" and select an item;
• Click in the input of the widget, so that the drop-down opens and select an item immediately after the items are shown - this action will duplicate the already selected tags;

Expected/desired behavior

Tags should not be duplicated

Environment

• Kendo UI version: 2020.2.513
• Browser: [all]
