Someone else has contacted me about trying to resurrect it but not yet done anything - I'll get him on this thread if I can get his github Id.

Very happy to support you taking it on. The whole project needs new Mendeley API credentials (see #17), and I never got a satisfactory development environment set up but latterly discovered clasp. which I think would have helped.

Publishing to the public facing chrome web store was involved but you can create a private deployment for testers which is easier from the google apps script development console. You would need to own that process as well - you can initially develop in a script app bound to a single document but if you actually want to test it properly you will need to deploy it.

I was not very familiar with the whole google apps script process when I set this up (and javascript not my native language) so I found it a bit of a struggle.

If you fork this and manage to get it deployed I will happily redirect this page (which seems to be quite prominent on google) to your fork.

I'm interested in the project! I'm unlikely to help you as a developer, but I'm ready to donate (I'm not so rich, max $100) and organize so that even a few people will possibly donate!..
