Doubling the available points and the costs of the most used abilities cancel out in most cases. Changes to the chemical costs look fine. Personally I'd prefer 50 over 45 for spread infestation, it's a nice even number. If the chemical costs between all the powers are perfected and changelings still need buffs, increasing the chem recharge rate should be considered. |
I'd drop some of the abilities to 1 point, but most of the ones at 2 are stuff that seems too good at one point, like the chem glands. I would like to increase the chem recharge rate, but it seems like all the abilities are balanced around having a low amount of chems and I'm unsure what to do about that. |
ling is completely fucked and needs another rewrite, but some painkillers won't do any harm i guess. also arm blade genetic damage was low on purpose. feel free to increase the max on the space suit, but the other should stay somewhat low. you're shit outta luck if you're caught without your organic esword in a tight situation, should've bought that space suit instead. |
The thing is, all genetic damage does right now is confuse lings who are trying to activate all the combat mutations at once, because there aren't enough abilities that give you genetic damage for it actually stop lings from using their abilities. |

It only stops them from activating three abilities at once, and most don't take three that can be combined, because the shield is underwhelming. |

While unrelated to the PR, I believe there is an error on line 189 of code/game/gamemodes/changeling/powers/mutations.dm /obj/effect/proc_holder/changeling/shield/sting_action(var/mob/user) as the proc_holder is defined as weapon/shield, not /shield. |

Lings now have 10 points with which to evolve powers, maximum genetic damage to use the mutation abilities increased, Resonant/Dissonant Shriek, Lesser Form, Digital Camo, Mimic Voice, Organic Shield, Anatomic Panacena, Spread Infestation, Blind Sting, and Hallucination Sting now all cost 1 point, and ability chemical costs were changed as follows:
