Dual wielded disabler lmg turn into precise miniguns by repeatedly swapping hand while spam clicking #83428

Issue Summary

Both the disabler lmg and its lethal variant, the laser carbine, can be rapid-fired without accuracy penalty. This doesn't seem intentional. In fact, this is straight-up busted, as it turns these guns into precision mini-guns.
These two type of lmg's usually can't be dual-fired by having combat mode active like other weapons (and even then, those guns get a spread-accuracy penalty), so this trick seems like a bug or oversight.

Reproduction:

  1. hold two disabler lmg's or laser carbines. one in each hand.
  2. repeatedly single-click to fire as fast as you can (theyre normally automatic guns but DONT hold it down. just spam click repeatedly).
  3. repeatedly swap your hands between the two disabler lmgs while firing.
  4. watch as your two guns turn into a minigun that goes brrrrrr.

The faster you single-click and swap your hands over and over again, the faster you will fire. With 0 spread.

[Using Combat Mode is not required. It works even without.]

that looks like something the click limiter would scream at you for instantly if you're not an admin

I was the person who added the laser carbines (which IIRC inspired someone else to add the disabler SMGs), and I didn't disable to dual-wielding on them because of this bug. I disabled it because of this bug: #79331. The only real issue here as far as I can tell is that the accuracy penalty isn't applied.

I disabled it because of this bug: #79331. The only real issue here as far as I can tell is that the accuracy penalty isn't applied.

I failed to clarify in the main post (i edited it just now) that combat mode is not required for this trick. So the accuracy penalty likely wouldn't be applied even if the guns had them. As far as I know, the dual-wield accuracy spread for guns only works on Combat Mode which makes you shoot both weapons, and without Combat Mode only one gun fires.

It's like swapping hands and spam-clicking as seen in the video above resets the fire-rate over and over again or something, so it turns into a minigun. I have no clue.
