Would it at all be possible to add spicetify-hide-podcasts as a Homebrew package? That would make installation and staying up to date on Linux and macOS lower maintenance for users.

Potentially. I don't know how packaging works for Homebrew. Someone requested it as an AUR package, which I have done before. The ideal would be to have a Github Action that runs on commit/release to publish a new version to the AUR/brew. I can look into this at some point.

I took a look into this and I am not sure if it is possible. Apparently you can't write to user locations from a formula.
e.g. I can't copy the extension file to ~/.config/spicetify/Extensions/hidePodcasts.js

My next thought was writing to the global extensions folder that spicetify is installed in, but that's managed by a separate formula (the spicetify-cli one), and I doubt you can interfere with those either. Even if you could, it would wipe the hide podcasts extension any time you updated spicetify.
