Releases: Traneptora/TumblGIFifier
Releases · Traneptora/TumblGIFifier
Version 0.7.3
Improvements:
- GIF creation now uses 144-color palettes
- Scaler now uses Lanczos rather than Bicubic B=1, C=0 scaling
- Moved downloads from http://thebombzen.github.io to https://thebombzen.com/ and they should work again.
- Reworked Build System (i.e. internal stuff)
- Internal Library Restructuring (i.e. internal stuff)
- Various other internal changes
Known Issues:
- Occasionally the "inaccurate screenshot seeking" bug returns
- When fullsize works, it should be used, but it's not. If you run into this issue then just uncheck "maximum required size" but this is still a bug I have to fix.
Future Plans:
- Timestamps on the sliders will make finding the location easier
- Allow setting the width/height rather than doing a binary search
- Allow 1/3 the framerate
Thanks for testing:
Noah Rae-Grant, Gregory Lockwood, Seth Izen, Maryssa Lyons, and Mauricio Rivas.
Version 0.7.2
Improvements:
- Ctrl+O and Ctrl+Q hotkeys now exist for Open/Quit
- GIF creation now uses 96-color palettes and a bayer scale of 3 to improve filesize-efficiency
gifsicle
used to losslessly improve filesize (only Linux and Windows, not macOS, unless you install it yourself)- Screenshots are delivered asynchronously so they're much faster (again!)
- Internal Resource Restructuring (for future development ease)
- Open Sans is now an "optional" package
Known Issues:
- Occasionally the "inaccurate screenshot seeking" bug returns
- When fullsize works, it should be used, but it's not. If you run into this issue then just uncheck "maximum required size" but this is still a bug I have to fix.
Version 0.7.1
Improvements:
- GIF creation is much more size-efficient (at the cost of a slight amount of visual quality)
- Screenshots should be accurate now (I hope)
- Renamed the local data directory from .tumblgififier to tumblgififier (without dot). On Linux it's additionally moved from ~/ to ~/.config/
- Updated ffv1 pixel format to bgr0 - should have less loss and fewer pixel format bugs
- Various internal changes and bug fixes
- Packaged LICENSE with the built jarfile
Known Issues:
- When fullsize works, it should be used, but it's not. If you run into this issue then just uncheck "maximum required size" but this is still a bug I have to fix.
Version 0.7.0
Improvements:
- Screenshot Caching
- Improved framerate halving
- Improved text overlaying
- Improved FFmpeg backend calls
- Better CLI compatibility (you can scan a file directly by passing it as the first argument)
- Some bug fixes
Notable issues:
- Screenshots are less accurate than before (although have much better performance) - make sure you preview in slow-mode first.
