kick-rpc is a tool that allows streamers to have a rich presence on Discord. By using Discord's rich presence feature, you can display personalized information about your stream to your Discord community.
To use kick-rpc, you will need:
- A computer
- Node.js (Stable or latest version). You can download Node.js from the official website: nodejs.org
Follow these steps to set up kick-rpc for your stream:

- Go to discord.com developer page
- Create a new application
- Customize the username of the bot to change the "big" text that appears on Discord
- Go to the OAuth2 section and copy the "Client ID"
- Rename
config.json.example
toconfig.json
- Open the
config.json
file and paste the Client ID along with all your other info for the config - In the Discord Developer Portal, navigate to the "Rich Presence" category, then go to "Art Assets" and upload your desired image(s). Please note that it may take a few minutes for the images to appear on the page. You can refresh the page to check if they have been successfully uploaded.
- Open a terminal or command prompt and navigate to the directory where you have the kick-rpc files.
- You can either use the
easy-use.bat
or run the following commands in the terminal:npm i
| to install the necessary dependenciesnpm start
| to launch the script
