why a lora 868mhz?

Hi Theo, i've come across your repo.
Just a question regarding the hardware you recommend.
You recommend a lora 868mhz esp32, but the ts-ft002 is sending via 433mhz. is the esp the correct one or should i choose a 433mhz device?
i think it's a SX1276 for 868mhz and a SX1278 for 433mhz. could you give me a hint?

I'm even interested, what rf module i need to connect to the arduino.
