I would like to be able to export a database query as a csv file.

This project is meant to be for quick and simple extractions only. For a full export, you can set up a local database using the export that yijing-wu gave you or The not so well known developer database export. In particular, Statistics uses The not so well kown one. We can help you setting the database locally if needed. If you use linux, you can install mysql and execute this script.
