This plugin seems to break error pages (e.g. SSL / 404 errors) if the URL contains the substring ".md".

For example:

https://iamnotmarkdown.mdnotmarkdown.bug

I incorrectly raised this as a Firefox bug (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1157756), but then found that disabling this extension fixed it.

gaul added a commit to gaul/markdown-viewer that referenced this issue Jan 9, 2016
Previously the trailing .* erroneously matched URLs like
https://iamnotmarkdown.mdnotmarkdown.bug.  Regression from
25d124b.  Fixes Thiht#51.
