Summary:

From technical point of view: move everything to async
Handling API exception + re-authentication. You should still see some error logs (I don't have any control over the API, so if the API is unstable, it's reflected in HA log), but now there is some re-authentication process. It means you should only see error time to time but HA should keep being updated
