Is it possible to make a gem out of this? I bet we can think of a witty name.

(This is a question of weighing the benefits of a gem against the downsides of maintaining a gem.)

My gut reaction is that it should have something to do with that Seinfeld episode where he delivers the mail for Newman. Just a thought.

I'm trying to avoid creating and maintaining a gem for this.

I originally submitted a pull request to the Mail gem:

mikel/mail#423

It's been ignored so far, so another nice home for it might be Rails. I haven't had the energy for that yet.

Until then, it seems like Suspenders is a good home for it.
