This issue suggests utilizing the .env.yarn file to set the NODE_OPTIONS environment variable, replacing the setting of NODE_OPTIONS in the test script before calling the jest command. This change is proposed to simplify the command used to run the test script, and it may also allow for the removal of the cross-env package from the dependencies.
