Consider showing the full subject on the vertical layout / Separate tabs

Allow full subject to be shown at the top of the conversation. (reducing font size to hopefully get more of it displayed is not an accessible solution)

Currently, subjects don't need to be too long before you can't read them without a slow pointer-hover-wait-for-tooltip action

Suggestion: allow as much space as needed to fit the subject.

An email's subject is a really key part of the message, and should not be cropped off, in my opinion. And allowing a tiny bit more vertical space for this, once, at the top of the conversation list seems like a small price to pay for being able to read the subject.

We have to consider all views here - a lot of people are on the three-pane classic layout, where vertical space is a premium.

That said I think showing the full subject on vertical layouts (and maybe when a conversation is in its own tab) could be something to experiment with and see what it looks like.

This would be lower priority though, but I'd be happy to accept patches if anyone wants to.

In my opinion, this is a very cool idea, I use the new 'card' view instead of the list and indeed sometimes a topic is not visible in its entirety, so an option to show/hide the entire topic using a button would be very nice, and to save the last used state. i.e. by default e.g. hidden, when I expand it will be expanded for the others
