There should be a configuration which contains a list of rules with domains and containers. When open a page matches some domain, only select from these containers.

But I won't have time to do this, so post here and maybe anyone interested in it.

this is really nice.
I oftentimes test things in localhost and it is annoying to request a container all the time.
perhaps allow for a key stroke combination to scape defaults also would help. (in case i would like to open localhost in a cookie clean container).

Maybe you can choose a certain container for some domain using "Multi-Account Containers" extension. And that would override this extension's behavior.

Are you saying, your extension ("always-in-container"):

(a) is already taking into account the domain configuration of the "Multi-Account Containers" extension? Or
(b) should (in the future) take the configuration into account?
