Using latest TigerVNC nightlies, when connecting to a Macbook Pro on OS X 10.9.4 with VNC viewing enabled, we see a flicker of a Mac login screen and a grey screen, back and forth.

It appears that there is two issues:

  1. When the Mac being connected to has two screens, the flickering appears to be TigerVNC alternately displaying one screen and then the other?
  2. Even after entering the "VNC password" as configured on the Mac, TigerVNC is then displaying the Mac login screen, and you must sign in with the current session's password

I've discovered that, if you switch to just one monitor, or you set to mirror displays, then the flickering issue disappears. So I would prioritize the ability to connect to a shared session using just the VNC password, if that's possible?

Similar to issue #18, Apple is not properly following the VNC protocol in their server. Someone needs to reverse engineer their modifications before we can even consider adding support for their variant of the protocol.

This works fine with modern macOS, so I assume Apple fixed something in their end.
