Hello! You can call me Timberfang, and I've been learning to code on and off for the past several year or so. While my time is more limited than a full-time software dev, I enjoy the process of coding, and I'm excited to make tools and solve problems. Starting by scripting using PowerShell, I'm remaining in the .NET family, picking up C# as my first programming language, which I'm still working on now.

• 📖 Right now, I'm learning C#, both the fundamentals in general, and how to make GUIs using Avalonia.
• 📦 I self-host a private Forgejo instance on my home network. Most of my repositories on GitHub are mirrored from there, including this file!
• 🕹️ Besides programming, some of my hobbies include writing, video games, and hiking!
• 🌎 I'm also an environmentalist and animal lover. Be kind to our planet and its creatures, please!
• ⚠️ Handle with care when the full moon is near! You might just find a werewolf behind the keyboard! Don't worry, I don't bite... much.
• ✍️ I like world-building and writing stories, especially in my setting called "Vilderheim" - a fantasy world inspired by Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Norse mythology, and more. I don't have much available online at the moment, but I hope to change that in the future. When I do, you can check my Fur Affinity, where I'll put PDFs of some stories and world lore.

• FurCard - My first "real" C# project. It's a small, very WIP program that creates a sort of "digital ID card" for furries with an optional image. It uses the Avalonia GUI framework and is meant to be portable. It's in very early stages, so don't expect much, but I'm learning as I go!
• PublishMarkdown - I write my stories in markdown using Obsidian, and I wanted a simple way to extract the body text (not the frontmatter, footer, or headings) of a series of numbered files, concatenate them, and write a single, continuous story in a separate file. While it's tailored to my use case, maybe it can help someone else, too!
• PowerShell scripts - I have a handful of scripts that I've created for various reasons. Most of these are in my GitHub Gists, and they aim to make my life a bit easier or just have fun. PowerShell is how I got my start in coding, so I still use it for simple tasks and automating stuff.
