Could this same method be applied to S4 objects?

It can be made to work. The hard part is getting a good jsonlite representation of the S4. For instance, here is an example to inspect plot.xts joshuaulrich/xts#79. It is far from perfect, but kind of works.

Ultimately I would like to leverage pryr to more thoroughly inspect these.

Would be awesome to see this. People build very complex S4 objects that is a nightmare to understand with str...

bump this! I was playing with str and some horrible output after lm and other stats... hoping the amazing listviewer could help... Do you have any plan to do this?
