Is this plugin still functional?

I previously used this plugin, but it caused issues during production. It wouldn't hydrate or render the image. I want to revisit this plugin as the documentation looks more detailed than the last time I saw it, which was 2 years ago. Can you confirm if this plugin is still functioning without any issues? I want to use optimized background images as I am looking to repeat a background image, which is not possible with a hack.

I also know there is a way to use inline styles with props but I don't know how efficient that is with fetching my data from contentful.
