My M2 max chip recently shows the usages for E-Cpu and P-Cpu constantly 100%. But the power seems correct. I verified with htop and activity monitor on cpu usages. Hope can help me fix this.

Same for me with my M2 Pro: the 4 E-CPU are always 100%, all the P-CPU are all between 50 and 80% while the other tools (iStatistica Pro) shows 4% usage.

I do experience the same issue with my MBP M2 Max while MX Power Gadget is showing values which do meet my expectations. As asitop relies on the data provided from powermetrics command, I just tried that command. That tool also reports that 100% utilization. Guess Apple has to do some work here, not Timothy?

Given that Apple did not fix powermetrics in macOS beta this year, I would expect this issue to remain for a while.

For my own monitoring tool (pumas), I went ahead and switched to another source (same as htop) for CPU utilization. For the other metrics, the powermetrics tool is still great. Out of respect for the asitop devs, I put no direct link, but you can find it on my GH.

Having the same problem, and it's relatively new for me. Not sure why. Has anyone else figured it out?
