Cannot use mouse on ssh #111

I enabled mouse in .tmux.conf set -g mouse on, but I can only use mouse when I host the tmate session. I cannot use mouse when I ssh using the url given by tmate. It says "No mouse target". Pls help

I can confirm this bug (first thought it was due to using PuTTY, but is reproducible with two konsole instances on the same linux box)
