Other than generating code like New Issue · template-extension/template-chrome it would be cool to render the actual link like
New Issue · template-extension/template-chrome.
That way you could drag and drop it into GMail or Word!

The original functionality of Template (formerly URL Copy) was just to copy the page's URL to the system clipboard without any formatting. Template has always copied unformatted plain text to the system clipboard.

However, I would be willing to consider any pull requests demonstrating such functionality. Unfortunately, I don't have enough familiarity with Word formatting etc.

You don't have to have any familiarity with Word formatting. Any link can be dragged and dropped. When I compose emails I use this Pretty Link Bookmarklet

It looks like this:

I understand, it is a little outside the scope, since it requires a whole new paradigm of rendering stuff and letting the user copy / edit / drag manually.

I'm afraid that this wouldn't make any sense for copying to the clipboard. Drag and drop is totally different, as you said, but formatting for direct pasting is totally different but I'm sure there is some way. If I somehow get some spare time I will look into this.

I know this is many, many years later but I would love this feature!
