Would it be a solution, be to provide a field, to manually choose the url? |
This is fixed now with the webpack refactoring. Check: https://matrix.to/#/!MdoftyfHNhKCbnhuBB:matrix.org/$amrefuKrg3LkJeby-fVM_YKVLU6B7fbDE0WRoc8_Ghs?via=matrix.org&via=kb1rd.net&via=nordgedanken.dev for details |
It is not on the master branch yet, but the currenlty hosted version on https://toger5.github.io/TheBoard/ uses the updated version. You can try it right now if you find time for that. |
Sorry for the delayed response. The user already puts in their servers url in their MXID. Is it possible to look for a .well-known use it if it's there or if it's not then use the provided url directly? I will test if it's fixed later today hopefully I have time. |
@Sleuth56 this is basically exactly what I tried to achive. |
I like the UI. Is it possible to guess the url from the text after the : in someones MKID? For example. @user:matrix.org split the url off using the : as the separator and put the https:// in front of it. So it would be https://matrix.org. Most if not all HS that don't have .well-known use the full url that a user would put in. |
I also just tested it and it does work with and without .well-known |
While most servers on the matrix network use .well-known not all do. I think this shouldn't be a requirement. Especially because it's just some json that restates the url.
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
