A sharing link like wordle would be nice #18
Comments
Actually I've heard disability advocates complaining about wordle's effect on screen readers, so maybe some other format might be better. |
This would be a little strange I think, since people can play multiple per day and don't have the same cards each day. |
This is my opinion on this at the moment. Would only really make sense if there were a "challenge of the day" or something like that. |
I guess some way of generating something that can be shared would work. Even if it's just text that says your best streak and a link. |
Do you want us to comment on this or are you going to make it live? My comment is that the shared screen should lose the first grey streak icon as it's confusing what it means and just have the yellow best streak icon and with a link somewhere so viewers can go straight to the game. |
It's already live. The image is not something that is shared, it's the screen you see at the end of the game. I was just showing what the share button looks like. Streak is your score that game. What is shared is just the text at the bottom of my last post. |
Sorry, but I have played it again and I don't see any share button on the screen. Is there meant to be a big share button when we finish the game? |
Hello again. Thanks I just worked it out. The share button appeared after I refreshed my screen. Then I pasted it into my FB news page. So actually the share is copying the results text. |
Yeah, that's right :) |
Wordle's popularity stems partly from the fact that it generates a nice unicode result string that can be copy-pasted into social media. Something like that for this site would undoubtedly increase its popularity (if that's what you want).
Expected: a way to share my results
eg:
wikitrivia
Streak: 8 Best streak: 8
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟥🟥🟩🟩🟥🟩🟩
observed: I had to screenshot it, which is inaccessible
to reproduce: play the game
