Welcome!

  • Yes, I've searched similar issues on GitHub and didn't find any.
  • Yes, I've searched similar issues on the Traefik community forum and didn't find any.

What did you expect to see?

is there any chance, or plan to have custom plugins for
IngressRouteTCP/MiddlewareTCP as we have already plugins Middleware for IngressRoute?

Hey @DrummyFloyd

Thanks for your suggestion.

We are interested in this issue, we are waiting for the traction it will receive. We are going to leave the status as kind/proposal to give the community time to let us know if they would like this idea.

We will reevaluate as people respond.

If you or another community member would like to build it before that happens, let us know, and we will work with you to make sure you have all the information needed.

Let us know here before you start. We prefer to work with our community members at the beginning of the design process to ensure that we are aligned and can move quickly with the review and merge process.

Hello the team,

It is a good idea and we are glad to see this feature in next version.

Best regards

I am using traefik in my homelab as an ingress controller and I really love the features it comes with. Due to me having services exposed on the internet I get a lot of unwanted traffic as well. I found a GeoBlocking middleware for Http that I really love.

But as I have a few services that run as TCPRoutes due to mTLS among other things I would love there would be the ability to add middlewares to TCP And UDP Routes as well. These would have quite a few limits for me due to ssl encryption but it would still be possible to drop traffic due request ip. And there are probably a lot of other similar usecases that would be possible.
