Privacy in translation system

Hi!
Ultimately I'm being more and more concerned about privacy.
I've read poeditor.com privacy policy and they track data with google analytics.
I would need an account to keep working on Italian translation but I'm against this kind of tracking methods.
Also I've started to prefer local based solution which do not require internet instead of services based on websites which have the power to lock you out anytime for whatever reason.
Do you think the advantages in the translation process are worth it?

By the way I've also migrated my repositories to Disroot.org which runs a Forgejo instance.
It's privacy policy is really good and it has a cool feature which imports every issue and pull requests from GitHub keeping same numbers and conversation messages

I mainly chose poeditor.com so it is easier for non-developer others to help with translation. to be honest I didn't check their privacy policy 😐.

Locking out isn't a big issue as the translations are also stored in the git repo, the only risk is losing terms that aren't synchronized yet.

For a work related translation project I once used https://github.com/vslavik/poedit , it does support a JSON format, but unsure if it support the one Traintastic currently is using. If it is supported using that tool is also an option, also for non-developers :)

For now I stick with GitHub, it is still the defacto standard and the easiest to attract new contributors. Forgejo also seems not the have Action support yet, they are working on it :) I've just reserved my username and traintastic organisation, just to be sure for the future :)
