I have no idea how one would do that since I have never touched a Mac.
Doesn't a git clone work 'by default' on Mac OS?

If someone who knows how to do it wants to do it, feel free. :)

vidir is available in Homebrew as part of the moreutils package. However I suspect it's a very old version - there's not actually a version number in it. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
