I wonder why we didn't include the information in the field synonyms from the raw dataset into the taxon core, DwC term taxonomicStatus. We do this for the synonym information in e.g. the checklist of the alien molluscs.

I think we didn't because we didn't want to statements about taxonomy, but I'm all for it if you want to include it.

I've certainly no objections and I doubt Filip has. In order to explain to Filip I would probably need a bit more detail of what you mean.
I assume you mean any synonyms in Filip's spreadsheet would now be included in the GBIF checklist dataset. Is that right?
