This is a leftover from #14. Currently the API only supports downloading thumbnail versions of the play store graphics. We should file a feature request somewhere (maybe here).

As soon as we get the original-sized images via the API we can enable this feature.

For the meantime I extended the bootstrap task by creating empty directories for the different image types in #24.

Investigated this on v3, and it's still downloading adjusted images (scale varies based on the image).

Gonna close this since there really isn't anything we can do. The API simply doesn't offer any alternatives.

Fine by me, we can always reopen this issue once the feature request googleapis/google-api-java-client#916 is implemented.
