To be honest I'm not sure why the performance here is that slow.
I think that's something worth investigating once we have published the first version.

Using the version compiled with ghcjs on the s9 with chrome there is also quite a bit of lag.

Using the ghcjs or jsaddle version on a Ryzen 7 pro 4750u powered notebook and chrome the performance is very good. However this a considerably more powerful machine than the originally tested notebook with an i5 6300u.
