HomeAssistant using docker should be quite viable and would provide a much more stable platfom than the current TrueNAS Core plugin.

Slight update on this:
(primarly for @tprelog )
I'm looking at implementing InfluxDB and MariaDB first, to ensure the Home Assistant Core is as solid as possible and prevent needing to revamp the complete thing.

Currently I'm mostly focussed on getting "stand alone" containers (that mostly don't depend on others) running solid, because those are the "lowhanging fruit".

Initial support including MariaDB support should be in.
Postgresql and InfluxDB can be added later as needed/wanted by commenting out a few lines and adding the UI support
