I have now managed to switch from the official SHC integration to the custom component version. During the initial configuration, 24 devices were reported to HA by the Bosch controller. However, none of the devices are assigned to a room; I would now have to assign them to the rooms myself.

Is this intentional, or have I made a mistake?

What would be the expected behavior? The rooms added in the Bosch app may not exist in HA.

After a fresh installation of HA, I had not created any rooms either. Then I used the "official" Bosch integration and the rooms were taken from the controller. That's why I was surprised.

Do I understand correctly that if the corresponding rooms exist in HA, then the assignment works?
