Hi there,

I'm just asking for the difference to the official boschshc-integration.

It looks like the author is the same, purpose is the same and at some point the code-base started to change. But why? Is there a reason, this repository is separated and not in sync with the official one?

I guess this information is also relevant for the README.

Greetings!

Reason ist pretty simple, I started creating the custom component first. Bringing this code to the official repo took for each PR several months in the past, so basically this is on hold at the moment.

So which Repo to use for our homes then? :)

Sorry for the confusion. Please use the custom component (this repo) as it supports most of the current devices. The official integration is lacking behind and needs care in the future. If someone is willing to spend some effort, help is appreciated!

Is there more to do than syncing the files?
Does some data need to be migrated or something?

As both integrations are living in parallel for some time, there will be some data migration necessary. HA is only allowing to update platforms in the smallest PRs as possible. So it’s not just a one time synchronization.
