Writing here to let people know that I have managed to get this working, the install script gets you part of the way there but it doesn't work in an LXC environment out of the box. In order to actually view and manage disks, you need to follow the steps laid out here: OpenMediaVault installation in LXC with attached HW block device. You also have to create a "stupid" storage mount service in order to manually call /etc/fstab on startup, or your filesystems will be unmounted when you reboot the container. With these changes I managed to get OMV seemingly fully-functional in an LXC. Note that you do have to manually add the block device addresses to the mount-hook.sh script for each disk you want to expose to the container, or it won't be mounted as /dev/sd*, which OMV is expecting. I'm not sure how much of this if any could be automated with a script, since it may vary depending on your hardware setup. |

The folks at OMV seem nonplussed at this being a LXC. The container the script produces is not very useful. See https://forum.openmediavault.org/index.php?thread/51217-trying-to-access-additional-drives-via-proxmox-with-lxc/ |

Hi, I just forum your scripts. Great work man, thanks a lot. Would it be possible for you to make a script for openmediavault as well?
