I can't think of anything that's changed recently; the last time I used the app was a couple weeks ago. Out of the blue when I tried to open nvalt I got a pop up about not being able to initialize note database from dropbox. All the files were still in dropbox like they always have been. I clicked on "choose another folder" but I got no further dialogue options. When I tried to change the directory to "other" from the dropdown menu I got no dialogue box or any way to input a new location. I tried moving the folder to a new location and pointing nvalt to it, but that's not possible. I tried uninstalling nvalt and then reinstalling it, hoping that it would work with a clean slate, but I got the same error pop up as the first screenshot, so it wasn't a clean slate. I tried looking for preference files, caches, or anything in application support that I could delete or change, but there aren't any nvalt files/folders in those locations or anything resembling "elasticthreads." I looked at similar open and solved issues on this forum, but couldn't find any solutions that would work for me. I've also tried just looking for an alternative app I could import all my rtf files into and I'm not finding one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm using nvalt 2.2.8 on an iMac running Mohave 10.14.5
