We were hoping to have support to allow both the choice of the number of nodes (already in BatchJobs) but also the ppn (number of cores per node). Is this something that exists and, if not, something could be added?

Its less an issue of BatchJobs then your template. Basically you can add whatever you want to the list of resources and modify the template file accordingly. So you might want to add witch template you are using at the moment.
