Start by creating static map with Google_Maps::create('static') factory method.
Create controls using Google_Maps_Control::create('type'). Created control can
be added to map using $map->addControl($control) method.

Where's the Source?

Above code uses work in progress Google_Maps PHP class.
It aims to make working with static maps easier. Code is still alpha quality.
API might change any time. Use at your own risk.
