What's missing? Please describe your flow and where this feature will help.
I don't get any response from the active pane, in my frustration, I hit the same key fast and hard. I want Terminal 7 to respond by asking me if I want to test the connection (or if auto_test = true in the [ui] section of the conf, just test).

Additional context
There are cases that a pane's communication is stopped for a few minutes and then comes back. the peer is still connected and other panes work fine. the onMessage callback is not being called

No need to test the conneciton as we have a reset button
