I'm working back through some of the development branch changes to try to implement the mirror feature and maybe use Omni-EPD. I have in my notes that Omni-EPD doesn't support grayscale or partial refresh on the IT8951 panels.

Do you have any notes on this that might help?

It looks like the Omni-epd class for the IT8951 supports grayscale.

It also looks like there is support for partial refresh.
