The following shaping practices are commonly seen in fonts, but are ill-advised. Discuss them and provide recommendations.

A lot of Arabic fonts ligate <U+0627 ARABIC LETTER ALEF, U+0644 ARABIC LETTER LAM, U+0644 ARABIC LETTER LAM, U+0647 ARABIC LETTER HEH> into a glyph that includes U+0651 ARABIC SHADDA and U+0670 ARABIC LETTER SUPERSCRIPT ALEF.
