Hi, unfortunately I'm not entirely sure what you are referring to. Could you add more to your question? If the question is about closest packing, I believe the answer is they are not the same system because hexagons at the next finer resolution are only approximately contained by the parent hexagon. |
@greatathrun are you referring to Central Place Indexing? If so then yes, H3 is a CPI system. This is mentioned in the documentation (see https://uber.github.io/h3/#/documentation/core-library/h3-index-representations ). |
