Clipboard paste and keyboard summoning may break

Hello,
I am usually keeping Telegram app open all the time on my device and sometimes having the following issues if I keep it running for several hours or even a whole day+night:

1. Keyboard can't be sometimes summoned until I switch away from Telegram and return back.
2. If that happens (but maybe even without it) I can't paste anything to Telegram as the popup text input menu is empty even if clipboard is populated with a copied string (I can paste to other apps). If I restart Telegram clipboard paste works again, even with the value copied before Telegram was closed.

I wasn't able to find anything of any interest in Telegram logs unfortunately and I am not reporting this as a Telegram issue as I believe this has something to do with the text input component itself. Unfortunately I haven't experienced it with any other app yet though I am usually keeping just Telegram open all the time.

I've been experiencing this ever since I've been using Ubuntu Touch so even with Canonical images starting from Vivid.

Ok, it happened to me again, after less than two hours in train since Unity crashed for me - so I didn't have it running longer. This time putting Telegram to background and switching back to it didn't resolve the issue and I had to restart the app.

The bellow screenshot is aligned to the bottom of the actual screen. That is I have a coursor in the text input field but no keyboard is showing and I can't paste content to that field either.

Btw, I've just bumped into this: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2267/osk-stopped-working-crashed-weird-behaviour/3 and then found this report again. I can confirm this still happens to me even on the latest Xenial Ubuntu release (devel) - and I am mostly experiencing this with Telegram Plus (TELEports) - which I suppose is related to that I am spending most of the time on Telegram.

But seeing this behaviour in a totally different app means I can confirm this is not related to the Telegram app itself but is probably an OSK issue.

And I can also say this now happens to me even if the app is not opened for that long, though it never happens to me right away after I start using Telegram. But in case I am typing a lot (for a while) or just have it open and take a phone from my pocket and start typing in the already opened app this is quite common though fortunately not everyday occurrence. Though the issue shifted a bit as before when I was typing on a keyboard it wouldn't hide. And summoning would only be broken if I switched to the app from elsewhere. Now it is like: I am typing and then suddenly the OSK hides and can't be brought up for a while. I have to wait like 30 to 60 seconds or even restart the app.

It is very well possible this is related: #915 and I can say that about the time that was fixed I started seeing much less summoning issues - clipboard is mostly always broken for me (though not sure if the changes also applied to Meizu MX4).

On the other hand I had Anbox installed on my phone for about two months and have experienced quite a lot of memory issues yet the OSK didn't seem to behave any worse except being more slow as everything during that period.

I had similar issue withthe OSK playing hide and seek, this time in Morph browser ( also happened on Oxide previously) Also when typing for a while, suddenly the text dissapear as soon as I type it. It wont give anyoutput. Closing of the app and opening again don't resolve the issue, only restart. Btw, when this weird behaviour of OSK happens, it is carried across apps, so no app specific. I had it on Browser, UT Tweak tool, Webapp...
