Related to #1682 (GNOME desktop integration)

In other Linux distros, I'm used to being able to use the overview search as a universal search for apps - if I need an app, I'll search for it; if I don't have it installed, it's right there to install. All one needs to do is export a D-Bus interface, so that should make it such that not much FFI shenaniganery is required.
