I don't have much time to spend on this library (and I must admit I actually haven't used GPGME for any serious purpose, until I realized that its quality is questionable[1]). If someone still thinks this library useful and is willing to take over the maintenance, it would be more than welcome.

Hey ueno, I used it for a while and it worked well for me.
I don't have much time or skill in C but I could help somehow..

Our team uses ruby-gpgme (since there are no adequate alternatives) so I can spent some time on it.

@ueno my C is not great, but I dev in Ruby daily and used to be an open source external developer for the Metasploit Framework https://github.com/rapid7/metasploit-framework If you still need help. I'm pretty familiar with devops, CI, git, and github, but I've also never published a gem, so no worries whatever you decide

I can still do the Gem publishing, that's ok I'm tooled up for it. Lacking time at the moment so happy to do it when you tag me, otherwise @ueno I can review changes too from @kernelsmith or others
