Issue: Unable to browse any directories.

Seeing Chrome extension behavior similar to issue #87 but on Windows 7.
Entirely unable to navigate anywhere from the "Connect a Location" prompt.

Replicated on a second machine running the same Chrome and OS versions.

Resolved by enabling "Allow access to file URLs" in chrome://extensions/.

Problem returns if the option is subsequently deselected.

Not a Bug

If this is expected behavior, it really shouldn't be.

Bug

Errors
Four different things can happen.

Element Failure Message
1 "Location Path" nav button nav pane fails to open none
2 "Location Path" nav button nav pane fails to open errorOpeningLocationAlert
3 "Location Path" text field manual entry fails to add errorOpeningLocationAlert
4 "Location Path" text field manual entry fails to add errorOpeningPathAlert

Make of that what you will.

Non-Fixes
Tested all of these.

Shake Rattle Roll
browser restart reinstall with extensions disabled rename "ChromeOS Downloads" preset
system restart reinstall with browsing data cleared modify "ChromeOS Downloads" preset
system update reinstall with browser settings reset delete "ChromeOS Downloads" preset

Wow, this is the best described issue we ever have had in this project. It has been already fixed for the next version. The problem is, that the user has really manually enabling "Allow access to file URLs" checkbox, so now we check if it is enabled and show a hint reminding the user to enable it.

Thank you for the issue,
Ilian
