When I create a new html file with the Firefox extension, it does not have any info regarding text encoding and the GUI does not allow to set it.
After I manually edited the html file in a text editor and added encoding info to the HTML HEAD section, TagSpaces extension started to deal with the newly added content properly. The originally entered text was broken for good, however.
Similarly, I was not able to create UTF8 encoded files for the other two formats (txt, md).
My system uses UTF-8, Arch Linux.
