Maybe remove --user option? #73

These are two independent issues and two different use cases. I do agree with the suggestion to support user@ prefix for direct targets, and it makes sense not just for ad-hoc commands but generally in any situation direct target is passed. This should be addressed by #76 However, I don't think we should remove |

This makes sense, thank you. I see that you have implemented user@ prefix, so I'm closing this discussion. |

I'm not quite sure that
--user
/-u
option is really needed. When you use inventory it is definitely not needed — you can specify user name in file / endpoint body.
It may be needed when you specify some host that is missing in inventory in command line:
But this makes it impossible to run
spot
on several hosts not presents in inventory that use different users for ssh.Probably,
--user
can be removed from the code and something like this should be allowed:Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
