APPIMAGE env is not defined, current application is not an AppImage

When i try to run protonmail-desktop, i get the error "APPIMAGE env is not defined, current application is not an AppImage" and it gives me a blank white frame.

That's just a debug message, so it doesn't tell about any error.

What's your OS? How are you running the app?

My OS is arch linux, i attempted to run the app via rofi, which returned blank white screen with no text, so i ran "protonmail-desktop" via CLI and it gives me the same white screen, but also gives that message

Hmm, okay, I'm sorry but I don't have any idea why. You're welcome to download the source code and try to run it from there and see if it helps.
